Hispania acquires the NH Málaga Hotel for 41 million euro.

  • Hispania has acquired a 4-star category hotel from the NH Hotel Group.
  • Hispania strengthens its presence in Málaga, city which has registered a very positive trend of tourist arrivals over the last years.

Hispania has acquired the NH Málaga, a 4-star category hotel, located in Malaga’s city centre close to the Guadalmedina river, for a total amount of 41 million euro, which includes a total of 245 keys (133 of the existing keys increased by 112 additional keys) and wide space for events. The works to extend the hotel will commence in the spring of 2017 and it is expected to be finished during 2019.

NH Hotel Group will be the operator of the hotel through a long-term contract that contemplates a fixed rent during the first two years, to which a variable rent component based on the hotel’s income will be added once the extension has been completed.

Hispania hereby strengthens its exposure to the Costa del Sol, and particularly to Málaga, where it currently owns the Vincci Málaga hotel. This city has registered a very positive trend of tourist arrivals throughout the last two years, thereby becoming one of the most demanded urban tourist destinations of Spain. Likewise, the company has increased its exposure to the NH Hotel Group, one of the largest hotel operators in Spain in the urban segment.

Hispania carries on with its purpose of increasing its hotel platform, reaching a total of c.10,800 keys and consolidating its position as the second largest hotel owner in Spain.
